Does Directv have to replace my TV?

I had Directv installed recently..When the technician plugged the cables into the TV for the first , there was a large pop, and my TV faded to black, then came back on. The Tech asked me if my TV had ever done that before. I said no. When he left i noticed my TV picture was all green, and i cant fix it, its not an installation issue. My dvd player is playing green color too. Basically wondering.. Is directv liable to replace my TV? Should I pursue it? They ruined it?
