Will my homeowner's insurance cover vet bills for a dog fight?

I was dog sitting two dogs for my family. One was a 50lb mutt and the other was a 10lb Boston Terrier. They got into a fight and the Boston Terrier had to be put down. I guess it's a two part question. #1 if the owner of the Boston Terrier decides to sue, am I liable? And #2 since I paid $2100 of a $3000 vet bill, can I get reimbursed for that and can I reimburse the owner for the amount he paid? Thanks in advance.
